Each of the staff members at Waterloo Wellington Cremation and Burial Services is committed to providing your family with the finest in personal care. In fact, for years, it’s been comforting for area families to know that we are available to help at any time of the day or night.

Patrick J. Schlitt

Owner & Managing Funeral Director

Patrick earned his funeral director’s licence in 1990, and has been a life long funeral director within the Region of Waterloo for over 30 years. He and his wife Susan Woolcott currently reside in Elmira, Ontario. Patrick has been involved with many community organizations over the years such as, Grand River Rotary Club, Lions Club of Kitchener and a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Kitchener. He has a combined family of 6 children and enjoys the time they have together. We’re sure you’ll find that he will be all that you would hope for in a trusted funeral professional.

Carolyn Baltaz

Senior Funeral Director

For several years after graduating from the Business Administration - Marketing program at Conestoga College, Carolyn worked in various businesses before returning to school at Humber College in Toronto from which she obtained her Funeral Service Diploma. Carolyn earned her funeral director’s licence in 2004 and worked as a funeral director in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. She ultimately left working full time in the bereavement sector after becoming married and the mother of two children, to whom she dedicated her time. Carolyn has spent the last decade working in administration for a law practice, while maintaining her funeral director licence and working on a on-call basis for funeral homes in Waterloo. Born in Burlington, Carolyn was raised and still resides in Kitchener. Outside of work, Carolyn is kept busy by her two children, friends and family. She has dedicated her time for many years to the boards of directors of Bereaved Families of Ontario and their Midwestern Region affiliate. She now gives her time to her position as President for the Waterloo Ringette Association, in which her daughter plays at the provincial level. We are very excited to have Carolyn joining us in the position of a Senior Funeral Director.

Michael Allard

Pre Arrangement Director and Aftercare Specialist

Mike is our pre-arrangement specialist, licenced under the B.A.O.; he has been working in the bereavement industry since May 2016. Mike has been able to assist many of our families in Waterloo and Wellington counties with their pre-arranged funerals. He has also been helping families with our award-winning aftercare program, following up after the funeral has taken place; assisting families with all the difficult paperwork in estate management. Mike is retired from a career in policing in Waterloo Region. He is a proud father of two young men.

Denver Schlitt

Funeral Director Assistant 

Denver is our Funeral Director Assistant and is responsible for many aspects of our business and a valuable member of our team. Denver is responsible for the transfer area of our company and ensuring families are treated with the utmost respect and he continues to exceed the standards that are expected. Denver makes his home in Cambridge, ON and loves spending time with his partner Jenessa and two beautiful daughters.  

Robert Frey

Funeral Director Assistant 

Bob is one of our Funeral Director Assistants. He is responsible for many aspects of our business. When not assisting with transfers, Bob is busy ensuring our office and vehicles are clean, stocked and ready to go. He is a Registered Nurse and retired after a 46 year career at Grand River Hospital. Bob lives in Kitchener with his husband, Steve. They have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
